Ever wonder what the roads inside RMNP look like in winter? The park service does a great job keeping them plowed. However, they are snow packed all winter and can be very slippery due to the high winds. Make sure you have AWD or 4WD. Don't be one of those crazy drivers that come unprepared and end up going over a cliff. Always pack extra warm clothes, water, etc. in case you get stuck. Remember, phone service does NOT work in most mountain areas.
