Familiar with Love Locks? They started in Europe and have expanded worldwide. Basically, you bring a lock and key to your favorite spot. Typically, Love Locks are on bridges. In this situation, you attach your lock to the railing of the bridge and throw the key in the water below. This signifies your unbreakable love.
However, since our cabin is named after the Stephen King novel the Shining, we have taken a slightly different approach. Our Love Locks include handcuffs. Yes, you read this right. When love isn't enough ... perhaps handcuffs will keep your love forever. Ha Ha. We found a bank vault gate which is over 150 years old from Dead Wood South Dakota and installed in on the front block wall on the road in front of the Overlook.
