After a couple of weeks of warmer weather (the 40s) most of the snow has melted in the Estes Valley. However, this morning we woke up to about an inch on the ground. March is one of the snowiest months in Colorado. Therefore, we are expecting a lot more before the season ends. Luckily, the mountains have above average snow pack. This is good for our summer water supply and good for all the outdoor activities in the park. There are snow shoeing treks every week that are organized by the Rocky Mountain National Park Service. There is also sledding in the park at Hidden Valley.
